Water Melon Peals Petha

Ingredients

  • Water melon white peals
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 teaspoon yellow food colour
  • 1/4 teaspoon kevra essence
  • I ltr water for boiling petha
  • Some kesar strings

Method

Peal the dark green portion of water melon , separate the red portion and white portion now take white portion and cut it into different shape which you want like round, square, heart or star shape, after cutting the shape prick it with the help of fork both sides. Take a big utensils put water for boiling and in another pan put sugar and 2 cups water in high flame, when sugar melts slow the flam for two minutes now put off the flame. Put water melon pieces in one ltr boiling water boil till the pieces become transparent or for 2- 3 minutes. Put off the flame.strain the water,put the water melon pieces into the sugar syrup add yellow colour, boil till the syrup become thicker-now put kevra essence let it cool decorate with keser serve chilled.
