Stuff Karela ( bitter gourd)


  • 400 gm karela
  • 3 onions
  • 2 tablespoons dry roast besan
  • 4 teaspoon tamarind pulp
  • 2 teaspoon dhania powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon jeera
  • A pinch of heeng
  • 3 teaspoon mustard oil
  • Salt according to taste


Peal the bitter gourd slightly give cut and remove seeds so that we can fill stuffing. Now boil all the bitter gourd in salted water in medium flame for five minutes, strain the water let it cool now prepare stuffing. In one teaspoon oil put chopped onions stir till it gets transparent,put off the flame add salt dry roast besan, turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, dhania powder, tamarind pulp, mix well. Now take bitter gourd and fill the stuffing in it take a kadai put oil add jeera, heeng 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder, now put stuff bitter gourd and cook for 3-4 minutes till it gets nice brown and cook.
