Madeline Cake


  • 120gm flour
  • 85gm fat
  • 120gm sugar powder
  • ¼ teaspoon of baking powder
  • Few drops of yellow colour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoon of cherries


Sieve the flour and baking powder twice. Cream the fat and sugar till it becomes fluffy. Beat the egg separate till it becomes fluffy, add essence, colour then mix the egg mixture into the cream mixture. Finally, add the flour and cherries. Preheat your oven, pour the batter in a greased baking tin and bake at 190° C for 35 minutes. Take it out let it be cool then apply jam on the top portion of the cake and sprinkle coconut powder on the top.
